Promoting education and quality breeding of Shetland sheepdogs per American Kennel Club standard for show and performance.
See event page for information on the next show. Thanks to all for coming out to the September show! We had a great turnout of past and new competitors and Shetland sheepdogs. It was delightful seeing everyone perform! Thanks to the impromptu backup judge, Bonnie Money for giving up one of her show days in the concurrent show with her German Shepherd and stepping in when the scheduled judge fell ill.
The Cincinnati Shetland Sheepdog Club Inc. was founded in 1991. One of the purposes of the club is to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Shetland Sheepdogs. The membership is open to anyone who has an interest in Shetland Sheepdogs. This includes pet owners as well as breeders. Most of the members are breeders, but many are owners of shelties as family pets. Our meetings are held the third Saturday of January, March, May, July, September, and November. Anyone interested in Shelties is invited to attend the meetings. The Cincinnati Shetland Sheepdog Club, Inc. is affiliated with AKC and American Shetland Sheepdog Association.
Training classes, seminars, and materials for breeders and handlers for the betterment of the breed.
We conduct sanctioned and licensed Specialty Shows, and agility trials, and any other AKC events for which the Club is eligible.
